Festival menu

All our food is vegetarian and mostly vegan, our aim is to serve great quality authentic Indian dishes using top quality ingredients which are preferably locally sourced, organic and fair trade. Below is our current festival menu. If we are the only caterers at your event and you would like to discuss some changes or additions to the menu to better cater for your guests then we would be happy to do so.

Breakfast

Kedgeree – Is traditionally a dish consisting of boiled rice, eggs and fish (No fish in our dish) Served as breakfast, brunch or supper. There is debate as to where the dish originated, Scotland or India, we don’t really mind, it’s great and ours comes with a free range boiled egg on top.

Masala Dosa – Is a South Indian pancake stuffed with spiced potato and vegetables, ours comes served with sambar (vegetable curry) and coconut chutney.

Chunky fresh fruit salad – Served with yoghurt, honey and spices.

Lunch/Dinner

Thali – The thali refers to the sectioned plate which the meal is served on and is a selection of different dishes which together make a well balanced meal. The Thali is enjoyed all over India, each region with their own unique style. Our Thali consists of: 3 curries (a dhal, a sambar and a seasonal vegetable or paneer curry), a Chapatti, a Poppadom, Basmati Rice, Raita and Onion salad.

Vegetable Curry – Not quite hungry enough for our Thali then why not have our mixed vegetable curry served with basmati rice and a chapatti.

George's korma – Aubergine, red pepper and cashew nut korma served with basmati rice and a chapatti.

Poppadom and pickle tray – 6 poppadoms served with Mango chutney, lime pickle, onion salad, chilli pickle and a raita.

Vegetable samosa – Probably the most popular snack in the whole of India, 1 billion people can’t be wrong. Our vegetable samosa is filled with potato, peas, onion, chilli, coriander and various spices.

Kathi roll (Filled Roti) – Is a spicy mixture of vegetables wrapped in an Indian flatbread. Perfect for walking around a festival site, our kathi roll is delicious.

Banana fry – banana in a sweet and spicy batter.
